1. I would like to post an ad. How do I start? back
To start posting ads, you will need to create a free account. The Email address you entered during registration will be used in your contact form, so be sure you enter the correct email address. Also check your SPAM settings on your email account provider to allow Prosale as legitimate emails, or check your spam folder. After registration you may start immediately posting ads. When you are logged to the system, your User name is displayed at the top center of the navigation bar, and you can edit, change photos, etc. anytime. Please SAVE your work before 25 minutes server limit time-out !! if you take a long time to edit. If it times out, simply logon again. You only need to register ONCE, and only if you intend to SELL. Please register and start your ad there and then, don't leave it, as the ad term starts at registration. Get your photo(s) ready optimized under 200kb before you start.
2. How does the ForSaleInJapan ad placement system work, how do I pay? back
When you create an account, you automatically assigned a "Free" Membership package to your account. You may post a free ad with 1 photo. For a more IMPACT AD You can also choose to show more photos at extra cost. You can show up to 10 photos and you will receive an EMAIL INVOICE for NZ$29 after your ad has been approved. Please pay this within 5 days to keep your ad active. This way you can start immediately without Visa Verification. If you don't receive the APPROVAL / Invoice please contact us. 3. I have created an account but I have not received an Email with a verification code. back
Please make sure you have entered a correct and valid Email address. Logon to the board with the Email address and password you registered with and click register/update . If your Email Address is incorrect, then make the necessary changes and click "Update Account". The verification code will be resent to the new address you specified. Please note: The verification code is resent only if you changed an Email Address. If you specified the correct address but for some reason the Email did not reach you, simply logon and click the "resend verif. code" link on verification form. IF YOU STILL NOT RECEIVE ANY EMAILS FROM PROSALE: CHECK YOUR SPAM SETTINGS ON YOUR EMAIL SUPPLIER ACCOUNT AND ALLOW PROSALE!!! as this will be the main reason you don't get the emails, this will also affect your replies.
3. I do not see the appropriate category or subcategory to post my ad under. back
If you cannot find appropriate category to post your ad under, please let us know and we will create new category if it does not contradict with our policies.
4. I have posted my ad under wrong category by mistake. Can I change category? back
Ad can be moved into a different category by site administrator. Please let us know if you would like to move your ad.
5. I cannot upload photos, the page disappears back
Images need to be "web ready", that means resized to UNDER 200 KB. This way your page loads fast for websurfers looking at your ad. Use your image editor on your computer to resave photos as jpg and optimize UNDER 200KB, if you dont have an image resizer, free download (for you to keep) IVIEW Image tool at: http://www.prosale.co.nz/iview397.exe install to keep, then optimize your photos on your computer, and then do the upload later. You can POST your ad without a photo to start, click next, and enter the Text. HOW TO CHANGE PHOTOS LATER: You can also change images on your ad later anytime. If you have not submitted the ad yet, then on the final ad submission form click "Remove" below the picture thumbnail and then click "Ad Images". If you have submitted the ad, you can still change the image. Open your ad in full view and within the "Status" area at the bottom click "Images" link. You will be directed to the image replacement/addition page.
6. I have posted my add, but I do not see it listed. back
This advertising site is moderated. Every ad posted, needs to be approved before posting in public areas. Once your ad has been approved and posted, which usually takes approx. 24 - 36 hours, you will receive an additional Email notification.
7. I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it? back
If you forgot your password, we will send you a temporary replacement password. Click "I forgot my password" at the logon page, enter the email, which you used to register at Prosale and click "Email My Password". Check your Email for the temporary password we sent you. Once logon to your account with a new password, make sure to change it by clicking "Update Account" link at the top navigation bar. If you dont receive your password, CHECK YOUR SPAM SETTINGS ON YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT!
8. Can I change my Email, password or name? back
You may change your profile email and password at any time. You cannot change your user name. However if you change your Email, we will need to verify it. The procedure is the same as when you first registered.
9. I wonder if my Email will be added to different lists and used inappropriately for spam. back
You Email address will NOT be sold or passed to any lists. We urge you to participate in our list, because you may occasionally receive Emails concerning important changes in our policies, upgrades, important information concerning your account, or scam warnings.
10. Can I extend the duration of my listings before expiration or change my ad content? back
You can not change the ad duration. Ads run for 6 month, then expire. You can REPOST after that. This way we keep listings up to date. You can change content of your ad at any time. To change the content of the ad, at any time click "Edit" link at the full ad view page or from your ads list when you click "My Ads". You can also DISABLE your ad temporarily if you want, simply use your account panel to set "disable".
11. I have sold my Item. Can I remove my ad completely? back
Yes, you can delete your ad using "Delete" link while viewing your ad in full format or from the list of your ads while you click "My Ads" link. Note: you must be logged on to your account before changing or deleting your ads. You may also temporary disable your ad by clicking "Disable" link at full ad view page. The ad will be removed from the list, but remain in database. You can view your disabled ad by logging to the system, clicking "My Ads". You can enable disabled ad by clicking "Enable" full ad view page. Once opened your ad in full view, you may always determine the status of your ad by looking at "Status" bar at the bottom of the page. Appropriate links to edit, delete, disable, change images of your ad are located next to the status indicator.
12. My ad has expired and taken offline. How can I resubmit it? back
You may resubmit your ad after it has expired. Logon at LOGON , when logged on, click "My Ads" , find your ad in the list and click "Repost". Re-posting is free if you have already paid for that same ad when you first listed it.
13. I would like to submit a banner to display on your site. What should I do? back
To submit a banner, you will need to contact the manager. online form so send us your inquiry. Banners cost NZ800 per month, plus $200 for artwork costs, or supply your own banner, 460pixels wide and 65 pixels high max, it will click through to your ad, or any of your chosen sites, appears on every page, exclusively, no other ads will be shown during your promotion. Click statistics will be available to you when banner is active.
